Spc. Micheal D. Brown 20 Williamsburg
|
Tikrit,Iraq 10-16-2007
Not only was Micheal D. Brown willing to serve in Iraq for a second deployment, he was excited about it. "Micheal was so excited to go back on his second tour," said his sister, adding that in one of the last letters she received, Brown said it was like "a permanent vacation on a beach with no water." "He had a really humorous personality," "Always funny. He was always cracking jokes and making people laugh." He was assigned to Fort Riley. As a high school student, Brown was interested in joining the military, said his former principal. He graduated in 2005. "He was always interested in aviation and said he was going into the military," He frequently asked him about the military. "He was very energetic," "He loved to explore new things." He is survived by his parents, Donna Hollon and Steve Brown.

Baghdad, Iraq 9-4-2007
"Real men stand between their families and what could harm their families." He was a 1999 high school graduate and was assigned to Fort Riley. He completed technical school and worked for a commercial air conditioning company in DeSoto. Next, he attended Kansas City Kansas Community College and worked as a package handler for UPS. It was Joel's dream to enlist since he was 13. "Ever since I've known him, he has wanted to go in the Army," Classmates remembered him as funny, skittish, smart and loyal. "He was just ecstatic.
