Crystal Gail (Solider)

The song "Solider" was sent to us by Crystal Gail and was played at our sons funeral.  Please enjoy the music as we have,  but always remember and pray for the Soliders who never made it home.

OUR BELOVED SOLIDER

GOD LOOKED AROUND HIS GARDEN AND FOUND AN EMPTY SPACE.

HE LOOKED DOWN UPON THIS EARTH AND SAW OUR SOLIDERS LOVING FACE.

HE PUT HIS ARMS AROUND THEM AND LIFTED THEM TO REST.

HIS GARDEN MUST BE BEAUTIFUL, HE ALWAYS TAKES THE BEST.

HE KNEW THAT THEY WERE SUFFERING; HE KNEW THEY WERE IN PAIN.

HE KNEW THEY WOULD NEVER GET WELL ON EARTH AGAIN.

HE SAW THEIR PATH WAS DIFFICULT, HE CLOSED THEIR TIRED EYES,

HE WHISPERED TO THEM "PEACE BE THINE" HE GAVE THEM WINGS TO FLY.

HE SAW THEM SLEEPING SO CALM AND FREE OF PAIN,

WE WOULD NOT WISH THEM BACK ON EARTH TO SUFFER AGAIN.

THEY LEFT US PRECIOUS MEMORIES, THEIR LOVE WILL BE OUR GUIDE,

THEY LIVE ON THROUGH THEIR LOVED ONES; THEY WILL ALWAYS BE BY OUR SIDE.

IT BREAKS OUR HEARTS TO LOSE THEM, BUT THEY DID NOT GO ALONE.

PART OF US WENT WITH THEM ON THE DAY GOD CALLED THEM HOME.

When a Soldier Dies
Submitted by Cliff Kesinger
"Proud Gold Star Father"

When a Soldier dies many miles from home
Leaving family and friends all alone
Who will go to where they lie
When a Soldier dies

When a Soldier dies we ponder then
What might they have done, they might have been?
In our grief we simply go numb
When a Soldier dies

When a soldier dies we can't measure the pain
Did they fight for Freedom?
Did they die in Vain?
The answers are inportant you can't deny
To these questions we ask when a Soldier Dies

When a soldier dies we think of a way
To remember forever the year and the day
They gave their life, we feel with a sigh
We'll never forget when a Soldier dies

Enjoy your freedom
Your family and fun
Stop to remember where is all came from
Freedom is triumph over evil and lies
It's paid for ever time a Solider Dies

If you're reading this...
Tim McGraw

If you're reading this, my momma's sitting there
Looks like I only got a one-way ticket over there
I sure wish I coiuld give you one more kiss
That war was just a game we played we were kids
Well I'm laying down my gun
I'm hanging up my boots
I'm up here with God
And we're both watching over you

So lay me down in that open field our on the edge of town
And know my soul is where my momma always prayed that it would go
If you're reading this, I'm already home

If you're reading this, halfway around the world
I won't be there to see the birth of our little girl
I hope she looks like you, I hope she fights like me
And stand up for the innocent and week
I'm laying down my gun a, I'm hanging up my boots
Tell Dad I don't regret that I followed in his shoes

So lay me down in that open field our on the edge of town
And know my soul is where momma always prayed that it would go
If you're reading this, I'm already home

If you're reading this, there gonna come a day
When you'll move on and find someone else and that's ok
Just remember this, I'm in a better place
Where Soldiers live in peace and angels sing amazing grace

So lay me down in that open field wout on the edge of town
And know my sould is where my momma always prayed that it would go
If you're reading this, If you're reading this, I'm already HOME

IF TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME.
Private Author

"If tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
all filled with tears for me;

I wish so much you wouldn't cry
the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too;

But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand,

And said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
all those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye,
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,
So much left yet to do,
it seemed almost impossible,
that I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays,
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all that we shared,
And all the fun we had.

If I could relive yesterday,
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
and maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss some tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me,
>From His great golden throne,

He said, "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
but here life starts anew.

I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
and since each day is the same way,
There's no longing for the past.

So when tomorrow starts without me,
don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart "

Requiem for a Fallen Hero
by Jane Ormes

Do not stand by my grave and weep
I
am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow

I am the sunlight on the ripened grain
I am the gentle autum rain
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swiftr uplifting rush

Of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night
Do not stand by my grave and cry
I am not there, I did not die

The Final Roll Call

We thought of you with love today
But that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too

We think of you in silence
We often speak your name
Now all we have are memories
And you picture in a frame

Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part
God has you in His keeping
We have you in our Heart

Weep Not for Me Now that I have Passed

Remember the laughter, the affection, the joy not just the recent rears
Cherish the memories, our hopes and dreams
Hold fast to the love that we shared
Be happy with the time we spent together and being anew
For I am not really gone, I am closer than ever before

As the morning sun rises and throughout the busy day, I am with you
Until the setting sun disappears on the horizon and watch the day turn into night ... I am here
You may feel a faint breeze stir around your head, while you slumber as I gentely kiss your forhead, "Good Night"
The stars that shine so brightly in my heavenly shy help me watch over you and keep you from harm

I am the wind in the trees and the song of a bird
I am moonbeams in a midnight sky and a glorious rainbow after the storm
I am morning dew and freshly-fallen snow
I am a butterfly flying overhead an a puppy happily at play
I am a smile on a strangers face, a gentle touch, a warm embrace

Listen ot the wind for my message of love
Watch the sun rise and set in the sky with me
Feel my essence encircle you with warm memories
Open you heart to know ... I am not gone
Reach deep into your soul, you will find ME.

I AM HERE
FEAR NOT FOR I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS
