Lance Cpl. John J. Malone 24 Yonkers
|
Malone, was a graduate of Gorton Hight School in Yonkers.
Malone, grew up in Putnam County.
A decorated soldier who, they said, made everyone feel good.
"You would never have a bad day because he would always make you smile," was told the Journal News.
"He loved the Marines],"
"It changed him. He got to see the world, something that he was never going to do if he never got into the military."
Malone loved to write and produce his own songs.
"He was one of the most popular guys in town. Everybody loved him," said his pal's father.
"He was just a polite young man and very friendly. ... John would just light up the room."
